Amrit Manthan

Just when you thought the world of entertainment cannot offer something new and unique, here comes ‘Amrit Manthan’ on Life Ok. Directed by Rajan Shahi and starring Adaa Khan and Dimple Jhangiani, ‘Amrit Manthan‘ does not embark on the treaded territory of brotherhood of sisterhood but sibling rivalry.
We have seen several stories unfold on the small screen where two sisters are of completely contrasting natures but have never come across as two sisters pitted against each other and that too owing to their own lineage and heritage.
Set in Punjab and amidst a royal family who are well past their royal glory and their status and wealth resembling a dwindling candlelight, ‘Amrit Manthan’ revolves around the proud and pragmatic Amrit, the elder sister who intends to regain their royalty by marrying a handsome and well to do prince and the younger sister Nimrit, who does not bother about their history but is more inclined towards being a nice woman. It is a war of the mind and the heart, of logical and selfish thinking with emotional and selfless perception of life.
Watch out for the two beautiful ladies who were the best of friends and soul mates at a tender age only to become bitter enemies when grown up.
